E.G.O. — The Grand Illusion of “I”
There is a strange phenomenon in the world of personal growth. A paradox. A distortion wrapped in golden robes, handed down from podiums, platforms, and bestsellers. We see it everywhere — “success” coaches, self-proclaimed gurus, and transformational experts who claim they have invented the very path to your freedom. And yet, freedom was never a creation. It was a remembering.
Welcome to the age of the Egomaniac “Success” Coach — well-meaning perhaps, but often tangled in the snares of their own identity. They teach not to open you up to Source, but rather to themselves as the source.
But truth doesn’t need branding. And Reality never asks for royalties.
When it comes to self-improvement, Self-Realization, spiritual awakening, enlightenment, personal transformation — even “goal-setting” — here’s something deeply humbling to consider: no one has ever invented anything.
They discovered.
DNA was not created; it was discovered. Atoms weren’t born from human brilliance. They simply were. Planets existed long before telescopes. Electricity waited patiently in silence until it was recognized. Quantum physics, one of the most profound scientific breakthroughs, only confirmed what ancient mystics whispered in the mountains of India and the temples of Tibet.
So why is it that when it comes to the inner world — the mystical, the subtle, the energetic — we find people claiming ownership over Truth?
“This is my method.” “I invented this breakthrough technique.” “No one else teaches this secret.”
Really?
Have they read the Vedas? The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali? The Tao? The Zohar? The Kabbalah? Kashmir Shaivism? Sufi poetry? The mysteries of the Free Masons?
Because the so-called “new” is simply ancient wisdom wearing new clothes.
Homeopathy, tapping, energy work, chakras, astral bodies, language as vibration — it’s all been here, quietly waiting to be seen again.
So let us pause and ask:
What if you never needed to be taught… but only reminded?
This is the nature of Truth — it’s universal, eternal, and humbling. No one owns it. No one invented it. No one createsthe Law of Attraction any more than they create gravity.
Which brings us to E.G.O. — not just the Latin word for “I,” but a deeper mirror, a powerful backronym:
E.G.O. — Edging God Out
Or perhaps:
- Everything Goes Outside – when the inner truth is buried beneath performance.
- Easing Growth Off – the subtle avoidance of soul expansion.
- Evolving Grasp of Oneness – if we choose a gentler path.
The truth is, ego-driven teaching is often the loudest. But the truly enlightened rarely need to shout.
Great beings — saints, sages, avatars, awakened ones — have walked this earth for thousands of years. They didn’t invent Reality. They simply observed it. They became witnesses to the mind, rather than prisoners of it.
And their writings? Still here. Still alive.
“We are not trying to teach you anything. We are just trying to remind you of what you already know.”
These words echo through the wisdom of many who walked before us: Krishnamurti, Yogananda, Buddha, Tesla, Edison, Einstein, OSHO. Not competitors. Not inventors. Discoverers.
To explain the mind, you must be beyond the mind. To heal, you must witness without clinging. To truly know, you must un-know everything you’ve collected and sit in the silence where Truth speaks.
The moment someone trademarks “Truth,” you can be sure they are no longer witnessing. They are performing.
So the invitation is this:
Seek teachers who do not place themselves between you and the Divine, but rather dissolve themselves so you can see the Divine more clearly.
These beings walk gently. They don’t seek followers; they ignite remembrances. They don’t shout about inventions; they point to the eternal. They don’t teach you to become more like them; they help you remember who you are.
The fastest path is the one walked with humility and joy. With laughter and adventure. With curiosity and courage.
Truth isn’t taught.
It’s revealed.
And it’s always been yours.
Much love to you on your journey. May you never be the same.

They call it “success”—but who’s really winning? The guru with the spotlight… or the seeker still searching? This resonates greatly. The moment a coach/guru says they have THE way to success/enlightenment, as opposed to A way, is the moment I close my ears to their message.
There are thousands of people sharing the same message around the world in hundreds of languages all unbeknownst to each other. Truth is accessible to all. No one owns the copyrights.
Don’t close your ears, beloved.
Even when the noise of “THE way” echoes loud from polished stages and shiny promises.
Because when you add two ears together — side by side — they form something rare, something sacred. A heart.
And it’s no coincidence… Because listening — truly listening — isn’t done with the mind. It’s done with the soul.
The magic is in the coherence — when heart and mind breathe the same rhythm.
That’s when Truth whispers… not from someone’s stage, but from within your own being.
Yes, there are thousands speaking, sharing, remembering — in every language, in every village, forest, and screen. And they don’t own the message. They simply heard it, and chose to sing it.
So don’t close your ears.
Let your heart remain wide open.
Let discernment be your compass.
And let your inner knowing be the final authority.
Because Truth was never copyrighted.
It was always your inheritance.
With infinite love,

Oh I love this post. And it resonates on many levels with what I feel.
I felt excitement reading.
However the abrupt switch in dynamic and tone to the gurukev threw me a bit.

Thank you, Shamna 💖🙏🏾
I totally agree — that switch was ruthless and abrupt 😅
